Pets at the Statue of Unity
The Statue of Unity is home to a number of pet zones, perfect for those looking to bring their furry friend along for the ride. There are several areas where dogs and cats can hang out safely, including a play area with plenty of toys and a water fountain for frolicking.
Dogs and cats can also enjoy a walk around the monument’s perimeter, where they’ll be able to look out at the surrounding landscape and take in the panoramic view.
Pets at the Statue of Unity are also welcome to ride the escalators and explore the monument grounds. The pet zone is located in the south-western corner of the monument and is open from 9am to 7pm daily.

1. Make sure your pet is up to date on their rabies vaccinations.
2. Bring along leash, collar, and ID tags for your pet.
3. Keep your pet confined to a designated area while you’re at the statue, as there are many tourists and animals in close proximity.
4. If possible, bring food for your pet so that they don’t get too hungry or thirsty while at the statue.
First and foremost, make sure that your pet is up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.
If you’re bringing a dog, make sure they’re wearing a patch (required in most developed countries) that says “PETS – PROTECTED”. It’s also important to keep them leashed when in public areas, and to keep them indoors during monsoon season.
When it comes to taking your pet inside the memorial, there are several entrances open to the public. The first is the main entrance on Saradha Road, which is open from 7am-11pm daily.
The second is the entry on Rajpath near Gate IV of the memorial complex. This entrance is open from 10am-5pm daily. Pets must be kept on a leash until inside the memorial area, at which point they can be let go without restriction.
